The Opportunity

The Senior Site Digital Operations & Application Governance Leader is a pivotal dual-role position focused on driving digital value creation while ensuring compliance and governance of applications within the manufacturing plant, both globally and site-specific. This role enhances the organization's digital capabilities by executing digital strategies aligned with business unit objectives, managing digital projects, and overseeing the stewardship of site-owned applications. Serving as a consultant, project manager, and technical expert, the leader ensures high visibility and impact across site, regional, and business unit levels, contributing to a seamless and autonomous supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the site's digital strategy in alignment with the overall Operational Unit (OU) vision for a touchless autonomous environment, tracking adoption of digital solutions and tracking value creation opportunities.
  • Lead and manage digital projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Conduct Value Stream Mapping to identify losses and implement digital solutions for value creation.
  • Provide training and support to site personnel on new digital tools and processes. Ensure Application Owners are qualified and trained, contributing to continuous improvement in capability programs.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and track the success of digital initiatives and application performance. Identify site trends or recurring issues and develop plans to address them, linking back to the Site Digital Master Plan.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Core Systems team, site CSV owners, and Application Owners, to ensure successful implementation and management of digital initiatives and applications. Build networks within the Business Unit (BU) and central teams to leverage institutional knowledge for scaling and reapplying applications for value creation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities through digital solutions, linking findings back to the Site Digital Master Plan.
  • Partner with the cybersecurity leader, ensure that all digital initiatives comply with company cyber security policies and standards, collaborating with site cyber security leaders. Partner with the Digital MAGICs team and policy and standard owners to ensure applications are fit for use.
  • Regularly report on the progress and impact of digital initiatives to site leadership, maintaining accurate records of digital value delivered.
  • Develop relationships with central teams and the 2nd Line of Defense (2LOD) to manage compliance issues and ensure adherence to local application management best practices. Serve as the primary escalation point for BU Application Single Points of Contact (SPOC) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) for compliance issues.
  • Oversee the governance and stewardship of the site's application portfolio, ensuring all
  • Ensure Make/Pack/Release/Ship (MPRS) applications are registered and compliant with the Business Impact Assessment (BIA). Ensure critical applications are identified and documented according to the Site Continuity Plan. He/she is responsible to establish a standard drumbeat to take care of the plant local app's and will own the PDCA drumbeat for app governance.
  • Oversee the site's processes for managing the MAGICs Applications Management Toolkit, including stewardship requirements such as OT software licenses, access management, quality assurance (RAMP, CSV, etc.), record retention, and change management.
  • Actively participate as part of the Site Change Management Board to ensure compliance and proper management of application continuity best practices.

    Job Qualifications

    Required:

    • 5+ years experience in digital transformation and process improvement in a manufacturing environment
    • Proficient working in Python and SQL.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI).
    • Knowledge of IT operations, cyber security best practices, and integrated risk management.
    • Understanding of IT Operations (incident, change, problem/risk management) and Application Development.
    • Strong project management skills, balancing diverse scenarios and priorities with a business mindset
    • Excellent communication and training abilities.
    • Ability to work onsite at Kansas City, Kansas facility 5 days per week, M-F.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, computer science or related field.
    • Certifications related to data, AI, cloud, app management
