A well-established global manufacturer of precision motion technology (roller bearings) is looking for an Application Development Engineer to join its engineering team. About the Role

As an Application Development Engineer, you'll be the technical bridge between our products and the customers who rely on them. You'll work directly with customers and internal engineering teams to identify challenges, recommend the right products and specifications, and help develop new applications and business opportunities. This role blends hands-on engineering problem-solving with customer-facing technical sales support - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and seeing a solution through from concept to delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and support customer applications using technical and engineering expertise
  • Meet with customers and engineers to assess requirements and recommend proper products and specifications, backed by data
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers and prospective customers
  • Troubleshoot and help solve customer problemsPartner with sales teams to support accounts and, on your own accounts, secure orders and coordinate delivery
  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
  • Contribute to research and development of new products and services
  • Take on additional projects and assignments as business needs arise, including some overnight travel with sales and engineering teams
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 3-5 years of engineering work experience; sales experience is a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of products, applications, and market/technology trends
  • A proactive, creative, results-oriented approach - comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization and with sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software
