They work under the guidance of experienced developers, learning to design, build, test, and maintain software applications. Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction, allowing apprentices to gain hands-on experience while also developing theoretical knowledge. This pathway is ideal for those who want to enter the tech industry without a traditional four-year degree, as it provides practical skills and often leads to full-time employment upon completion.

Job description

Founded in 2000, FAM Brands designs, manufactures, and sells men's and women's sportswear and active wear apparel to major retailers, big box stores, and specialty boutiques across the country and throughout the world. Our portfolio of proprietary brands features Marika, Wildfox, Three Dots, and Balance Collection, while a partial list of licensing partners includes Orvis, Jessica Simpson, Eddie Bauer, and Woolrich.

With the capacity to produce over 75 million units per year, our mission continues to be making top-quality apparel accessible to everyone at an impressive value and an irresistible price.

That's the FAM Brands difference.

SUMMARYAI Operations as a Core Mandate

DevOps alone is not sufficient for this role. The AI Operations dimension is equally critical. This individual is expected to own the operational governance, monitoring, reliability, cost management, and scalability of AI systems across the enterprise. As FAM deploys more AI-enabled workflows and integrations, AI Ops becomes a strategic function, not a secondary consideration.

This role is one of two foundational pillars of FAM's emerging modern infrastructure and technology leadership team. Together with the Senior AI Architect, this individual helps establish the operational and engineering leadership foundation the practice needs to scale sustainably

Business Engagement Expectation

Like the Architect role, this individual is expected to lean into the business. They will work directly with functional teams to understand scaling requirements, identify operational friction points that create business impact, and help design AI solutions that are production-ready and operationally sound from day one. This is not a back-office role.

Core Mission

Build and mature the operational backbone required to scale AI systems, integrations, and automation services across the enterprise, while actively partnering with the business to identify operational opportunities, educating internal stakeholders on AI platform capabilities, and ensuring AI solutions are reliable, scalable, and production-grade.

Key Focus Areas
  • CI/CD implementation and AI deployment pipelines
  • AI Operations: governance, monitoring, reliability, cost management, and scalability
  • Infrastructure automation and cloud operations
  • Observability and secure deployment practices
  • AI service operationalization using Anthropic Claude and complementary platforms
  • Business-facing identification of operational scaling opportunities
  • Internal AI education, advocacy, and platform knowledge sharing

  • Build and lead an operational engineering capability as the team grows
