Compensation Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable individualย primarily responsible for managing Medicaid and Benevolent Care application processes. The Counselor will also handle Medicaid Pending and Patient Liability aging, collaborate on collection activities, and update income changes for recipients.

What You'll Do

  • Serves as the Medicaid subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with State and County guidelines.
  • Oversees the Medicaid and Benevolent Care application, reapplication, and approval process across all Asbury Communities, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and supports complicated applications and process challenges.
  • Collaborates with clinical and operational teams to ensure all Medicaid applications are submitted timely and accurately.
  • Reviews Medicaid Pending and Patient Liability aging, assists Facility Billing Counselors, collaborates with Facility Billing Counselors on collections activities, and updates income changes for recipients.
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains policies and procedures related to the Medicaid application process.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of related work experience required.
  • One (1) to Two (2) years of accounting experience with a computerized accounting system required.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of Medicaid application experience required.
  • High level of personal accountability, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and think strategically, identify and implement efficiencies.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Comfort with technology; ability to adapt and effectively utilize various software platforms.ย 
  • Above average knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), and databases and/or data management tools
