Since 1982, Appliance Distributors Unlimited (ADU) has been the Mid-Atlantic's most trusted source for appliances. We offer a wide variety of kitchen and laundry appliances and customizable solutions that appeal to custom home builders, kitchen designers, home remodelers, property managers, and homeowners.

Our showrooms display the brands and styles and allow customers to compare products, explore options, and make purchases. They are staffed with experienced inside sales professionals who use a consultative and relationship-building approach to selling appliances.


ADU is seeking a reliable and motivated full-time Appliance Install Assistant to support our installation team. This is a hands-on role where you will assist with delivering, handling, and installing luxury appliances in residential and commercial settings. 


This position is based out of our Easton, MD showroom and supports projects across the Eastern Shore and surrounding areas. 


The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and ensures every customer interaction reflects high standards of professionalism.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn a skilled trade and grow into an Appliance Installer role. 


Requirements


  • Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record 
  • Dot (or the ability to obtain one upon hire) 
  • Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check, consistent with applicable laws 
  • Ability to safely assist and perform installations of various high-end kitchen appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washing machines, dryers, and more. 
  • From time to time, handle and transport large appliances safely and securely
  • Ability to lift and move heavy appliances up to 100 lbs independently
  • Push, pull, lift, and move loads up to 1,000 pounds with assistance (using straps, dollies, and team support)
  • Load/unload appliances from trucks
  • Maintain a professional and clean work environment
  • Interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Performs other related duties as assigned 
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, climbing, and crouching
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and maneuver large appliances

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Overtime (OT) may be required based on the project demands and based on business needs

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 (based on experience)
