Description

We are searching for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Financial Analyst to join the Infrastructure Finance team. You will partner with our infrastructure teams to establish and manage internal cost metrics and develop comparative models across AWS, GCP, and Alibaba Cloud. This role demands a strong analytical mindset paired with deep cross-functional partnership across theorganization. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, well-versed in multi-cloud environments, driven, and team-oriented.You will be the financial domain expert for Apple's third-party cloud (3PC) infrastructure, leading day-to-day operations while partnering across Procurement, Engineering, Corporate Accounting, and other stakeholders to align on cost, capacity, and commercial strategy . Bring that expertise to the table when building comparative cost-and-capability models across cloud providers that inform sourcing decisions and influence infrastructure investment. Partner with engineering teams to drive efficiency through process improvement, automation, and new tooling. Own the cloud vendor relationship, pushing for better cost, usage, and commitment data that improves the accuracy of cost reporting and invoicing.

Responsibilities
  • Financial analyst support for Apple Infrastructure allocations, Quarterly JV preparation and support of various business partners through a variety of financial planning & analysis tasks.
  • Collaborate, consolidate and analyze operating/ financial results across our extended team of financial analysts. Summarize key drivers and communicate change to IS&T, Finance leadership, and other key stakeholders across the entire company.
  • Continue development of key processes, tools and analytics supporting the annual plan, forecast cycles and quarterly close. Understand key business drivers affecting the above processes and anticipate effects on our processes, deliverables and end results as drivers change.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Finance or Business experience in a fast-paced environment; FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Engineering
  • Technical proficiency with advanced financial modeling tools and scripting languages (SQL, Python, Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
  • Technical or business background in cloud technologies, with hands-on cloud cost management experience in a large scale enterprise multi-cloud environment
  • Ability to travel 10%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of cloud pricing, cost structures, and billing models
  • Experience owning a multi-cloud cost management strategy , cost allocation, forecasting, budgeting, spend tracking, and variance analysis
  • Experience establishing cloud cost governance across subscriptions/accounts/projects, resource groups, environments, products, teams, and customer segments
  • Strong relationship building, business judgment, and process management
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $211,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
