Job description

We are on the search for a Buyer who is goal-oriented and highly entrepreneurial to join our fun and exciting team! This person will lead the assigned team in recognizing current trends and developing corresponding initiatives to fulfill these demands and meet business objectives. You'll do trend research, plan out categories seasonally, and partner with marketing, merchandise planning and allocation to ensure the success of each category you touch.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and will require to work from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA, three days a week.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Achieves sales and margin objectives for seasonal buying plans.
  • Strategically selects and purchases product from vendor lines to augment planned assortments based on trend data
  • Partners with Product Development team to develop product including sourcing and monitoring delivery of product and quality control
  • Reaches overall team project financial objectives as defined by DMM or GMM
  • Develops market analyses and business strategies to outline strengths, weaknesses, new opportunities and threats in the fashion market; evaluates the market continuously to revise the strategies
  • Strategically selects and purchases product from vendor lines to augment planned assortments based on trend data
  • Partners with Product Development team to develop product including sourcing and monitoring delivery of product and quality control
  • Analyzes and negotiates proposals for product based on trend, price, delivery time, and quality to select the most appropriate vendors
  • Partners with Planning and Allocation teams to ensure the development of appropriate assortment plans

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience as a Buyer
  • A proven track record developing and building a fashion apparel business, including developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships
  • Understanding of Licensee partnerships
  • Experience in developing, preparing, and implementing tactical plans in support of strategic company goals.

$88,000 - $100,000 a year
