Job description

PURPOSE 

Responsible for ensuring lead times and buy-ready status enable on-time buys and availability preseason, while comparing demand plans to supply readiness. The Manager will play a critical role in aligning supply chain operations with market demand and closing any gaps cross-functionally.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Time Management: Monitor and manage lead times to ensure timely purchasing or phasing of seasonal products.
  • Buy-Ready Status: Ensure products achieve buy-ready status to enable on-time buys and preseason availability.
  • Demand and Supply Alignment: Compare demand plans to supply readiness, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • MTF Seasonal Needs: Close any gaps on key programs requiring a buy to forecast model to enable availability, specifically long-lead time or specialty products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain operations with market demand.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product availability and lead times.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and improve supply chain processes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on lead times, buy-ready status, and supply readiness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • College or university degree with a focus supply chain management, Post-graduate level preferred; alternatively equivalent combination of education and related work experience in the field of Logistics, Footwear and/or Apparel
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Customer Service environment within the footwear and apparel industry
  • People or Stakeholder management experience is a plus.
