What is an Apparel Fit Model job?

An Apparel Fit Model is a person who helps clothing brands test the fit, comfort, and appearance of garments before they go into production. Fit models work closely with designers and technical teams to provide feedback on how clothing drapes, stretches, and fits on a real body. Unlike fashion models, they are chosen for their specific body measurements rather than general appearance. Their role ensures that the brand's sizing and fit are consistent for consumers. Fit models often participate in multiple fittings and must maintain stable body measurements.
