Job description

Technical Designer – Intimate Apparel

Location: Miami, FL (On-Site)

At Oh Là Là Chéri, we create intimate apparel that celebrates confidence, individuality, and self-expression. Our collections combine fashion-forward design with exceptional fit, quality, and craftsmanship. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a talented Technical Designer to help bring our collections to life from concept through production.

About the Role

As a Technical Designer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every garment delivers the exceptional fit, comfort, and quality our customers expect. Working closely with Design, Product Development, Production, and overseas manufacturing partners, you'll lead the technical development process—from creating detailed specifications to conducting fit sessions and approving production samples.

This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for garment construction, thrives on solving fit challenges, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to create beautiful products.

Responsibilities

Technical Development

  • Create and maintain detailed technical packages, including garment specifications, construction details, grading, and measurement charts.
  • Ensure design intent is accurately translated into production-ready garments.
  • Review prototypes, sales samples, pre-production, and TOP samples for fit, construction, and quality.

Fit Process

  • Conduct fit sessions with cross-functional teams and document fit comments and corrections.
  • Evaluate garment fit, balance, proportion, and comfort while maintaining brand fit standards.
  • Partner with Design to achieve the desired aesthetic without compromising functionality or manufacturability.

Partner with Factories

  • Communicate daily with overseas factories to clarify technical requirements and resolve fit or construction issues.
  • Review comments, propose solutions, and ensure timely execution throughout development.
  • Monitor sample progress and help maintain development calendars.

Maintain Quality Standards

  • Ensure consistency in fit, grading, and construction across all product categories.
  • Identify opportunities to improve garment construction, fit, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Production to resolve technical issues before bulk production.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in intimate apparel, lingerie, swimwear, shapewear, or women's apparel.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit.
  • Experience leading fit sessions and communicating fit corrections.
  • Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with PLM systems is a plus.

Why Join Oh Là Là Chéri?

  • Be part of a growing fashion brand known for bold, trend-driven intimate apparel.
  • Work closely with talented Design, Product Development, and Production teams.
  • Play a key role in bringing innovative products to market.
  • Enjoy a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your ideas and expertise make an impact.
  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and employee merchandise discounts.
