Job Summary:
Rakuten is looking for a growth marketing expert to lead our acquisition teams. You'll be responsible for overseeing our new user acquisition strategy and tactics, while leading a strong team and working cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization. This role will manage Search (SEM & SEO), Mobile App, Direct Response Paid Social, Affiliate Channel, as well as new channels. We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and finding new opportunities while meticulously working to scale established channels. By adding your expertise over a vast amount of our new user acquisition, you will have a large impact on the success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a data and user first approach to the new acquisition strategy and empower those within the group to achieve success
  • Owning and allocating a large marketing budget with a continual focus on efficiency and maximizing lifetime value
  • Build the test and learn strategy with a foundation of constant experimentation
  • Monitor all metrics and KPIs for growth enabling continuous optimization
  • Effectively hire and allocate resources (people and technology) to maximize impact
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (product, design, engineering) to take an automation- and technology-first approach to efficiently scale new user growth
  • Discover new vendors, technologies, and channels to facilitate short- and long-term growth
  • Leverage acquisition tactics to discover new retention activities targeted towards the current member base

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience working as a growth-oriented marketer with a focus on scaling channels and optimizing for efficiency and lifetime value
  • Expertise with all marketing platforms, including: Facebook, Google, Programmatic Platforms, Mobile App Install, App Store Optimization, and Fraud Detection.
  • Working knowledge of marketing technology tools, such as Amplitude, Datorama, Segment, and Tableau
  • Experience with Snowflake and SQL is a plus
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience working on multiple projects at the same time, with short deadlines
  • Experience communicating projects and results to executive team members
  • Team leader with experience building departments to keep up with an aggressively expanding business

Minimum Requirements:
  • 10+ yr experience as a marketer
  • 5+ yr experience managing and scaling marketing team(s)
