Job description

Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Systems Engineer, SMEย supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) atย Ft Meade, MD.

What you will be doing:

  • Assess and identify opportunities and technological capabilities across the NC3 Enterprise, interface with industry, DoD mission partners, and academia, and provide specific recommendations for the NEC SE&I (e.g., reports, papers, briefings).
  • Conduct mission engineering studies to guide decisions focused on the end-to-end mission to identify new or enhanced capabilities and provide impacts of performance levels on NC3 systems.
  • Provide high-level communication systems subject matter expertise, including terrestrial and satellite communication systems, and associated technologies to support the NC3 Enterprise.
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation (charts, graphs, presentations) to apply engineering and threat impact assessments for developing, evaluating, and sustaining NC3 systems.
  • Assess new technologies and innovations to develop technical recommendations that ensure the integrity and continuity of operations supporting evolving NC3 requirements.ย 
  • Provide NC3 communication system technical expertise to the NC3 enterprise regarding signal propagation, modeling and simulation, test and design, and system development.ย 
Minimum Requirements:
ย 
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibilityย 
Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical fieldย ย 
Years of experience: 10+ years' relevant experience providing RF technical expertise, systems and design analysis, and implementation and integration via technical reports, presentations, briefings, and training
  • Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience regarding NC3 requirements, operations, and procedures and proven ability to prepare NC3 analysis, documentation, and reports.
  • Ability to apply principles, methods, and knowledge of NC3 systems

    Benefits:

    • Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.ย 
    • The base pay for this position ranges fromย $129,00 - $216,000 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
