Job description

Job Title: Solution Architect – API Integration (Consulting Engagement)

Location: Englewood, CO

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead a consulting engagement focused on mapping and formalizing the API integration framework across internal store technologies, third-party systems, and Boost’s enterprise platforms. This role will set the foundation for ongoing architectural governance and transition to a permanent architect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discover and document all APIs used by store systems (internal and external).
  • Build a centralized and accessible API catalog.
  • Define API standards, governance practices, and communication protocols with partner teams.
  • Document the current (“as-is”) state of the store technology architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to envision and propose a “to-be” future state aligned with business and tech strategy.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer for continuity with a permanent Solution Architect.

Deliverables:

  • API catalog and documentation of integration points.
  • API governance standards and best practices guide.
  • Detailed current-state and proposed future-state architecture diagrams.
  • Communication framework with peer API owners.
  • Transition documentation and sessions for knowledge handoff.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
  • Solid grasp of integration patterns, software architecture, and system dependencies.
  • Experience documenting architecture using modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Background in API governance and establishing architectural standards.
  • Prior experience in retail systems or similar distributed environments is a plus.
