Five Star Staffing is actively hiring experienced Apartment Porters/Groundskeepers for apartment communities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Apartment industry experience is REQUIRED. We are seeking dependable, hardworking professionals who understand the daily operations and expectations of apartment communities. Candidates without prior apartment industry experience will not be considered.

Position: Apartment Porter / GroundskeeperPosition Summary

The Apartment Porter/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of apartment communities. This position plays a vital role in creating a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for residents, prospective residents, and visitors.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Walk the property daily to remove litter, debris, and pet waste from common areas
  • Maintain the cleanliness of breezeways, parking lots, sidewalks, amenities, dumpster areas, and landscaped grounds
  • Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments before the make-ready process begins
  • Assist maintenance and make-ready teams with apartment turns and general property upkeep
  • Help maintain the pool area, clubhouse, and other common areas to community standards
  • Distribute resident notices and other community communications as needed
  • Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance concerns to property management
  • Deliver professional customer service to residents, guests, and team members
  • Maintain excellent curb appeal and ensure the property remains clean and presentable throughout the day
Qualifications
  • Previous apartment porter, groundskeeper, or other apartment industry experience is REQUIRED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced apartment community environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to perform physical work, including walking the property, lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to pass a background check
