Penn Apartment Staffing is currently seeking experienced apartment Make Ready Technicians with proficient skills in repairs and installation in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and their surrounding areas.


Job Summary
The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for move-in and be in coordination with the manager and lead maintenance technician to ensure that all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to "market ready" status in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in facilities maintenance, electrical work, and customer service, along with the ability to work independently.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting and working with logic controllers.
  • Oversee the completion of make-ready tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and general cleaning.
  • Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and installations.
  • Supervise and coordinate work with other maintenance staff or contractors when required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents during the make-ready process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used for each unit.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout all tasks performed.
