Job description

Apartment Maintenance Technician – Immediate Opening


Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch)

Pay: Up to $23/hr based on experience

Location: St Louis, MO 63120


Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in the St. Louis area. If you have experience in apartment maintenance, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in keeping communities operating at their best, we want to hear from you.


Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes and community grounds while providing excellent customer service to residents. The ideal candidate will have experience with general maintenance repairs, unit turns, and preventative maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, flooring, drywall, and general building maintenance.
  • Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turns.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment and property systems remain in good working order.
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of common areas and community grounds.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.


Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, and painting.
  • Experience with unit turns, make-readies, and general property maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
  • Must have basic maintenance tools.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
