Job description

The providers and staff of Western New York Urology Associates specialize in providing exceptional patient care. This means we treat our patients with the respect they deserve, providing the most reliable and prompt care possible. Each patient receives state-of-the-art diagnosis and comprehensive treatment.

We are currently recruiting for a Phone Operator to join our Orchard Park location. The hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Duties include:

  • Transcribing voicemail messages into the patient's chart and forwarding the message to the appropriate staff member or physician.
  • Verifying phone numbers and date of call.
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments.
  • Answering phone calls for five locations and transferring the call to the appropriate staff member.
  • Reviewing the patient's chart and relaying messages as appropriate to the patient.
  • Creating and mailing scripts.
  • Answering ToDo's, Triages, Web, and Portal Messages
  • Creating New Patient Letters
  • Work on other tasks as assigned by the department Manager

Requirements to successfully perform this job:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with patients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to multitask and work under high volume of calls each day.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of EMR system.
  • Excellent patient experience skills.
  • Ability to work well with co-workers and communicate effectively.
