Job description

Job Summary
Support the mission of A New Leaf, Inc. (ANL) through the execution of multiple development strategies to fund programs, operations, endowments, and special campaigns. The MGO will oversee a portfolio of current and prospective donors, with an emphasis on increasing the base of support from annual and major gift givers. In addition, the MGO will provide collaboration and support in long-term fundraising strategies including capital campaigns, endowment campaigns, and a planned giving program in accordance with ANL's mission.
Essential Functions
1. Embody the values of ANL: client-focused, great customer service, professional, and innovative.
2. Proactively implement the principles of fundraising throughout all stages of the donor development cycle focused on gifts $10,000 and above.
3. Actively engage in a comprehensive development program including major gifts through individuals, foundations, and bequests.
4. Strong prospecting abilities to identify and engage potential donors or strengthen case for support.
5. Demonstrate financial responsibility by working within a budget and meeting fundraising objectives.
6. Demonstrate project management skills through setting deadlines, and when needed, engaging peers and team members in the project timeline.
7. Track and manage key fundraising milestones.
8. Maintain accurate financial and donor records.
9. Provide accurate written and oral reports as requested.
10. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned and within the scope of demonstrated competencies.

• Must support and be an advocate for the clients we serve.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive equally in a team-oriented or autonomous environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines through good planning, scheduling and follow-through.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to comfortably multi-task and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Grant writing experience preferred.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Must have a documented track record of acquiring, retaining and developing major gifts from individuals.
• Must have a strong knowledge of the entire donor development life cycle.
• Sophisticated knowledge of annual gifts, major gifts and planned giving principles.
• Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and an expressed desire to work with the developmental disability community.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement in developing proposals, programs, and collateral to meet the needs of the organization and donors.
