Job description

As a 3D Animator on Dead by Daylight, you'll specialize in character animation, helping bring our iconic Survivors and Killers to life through highquality motion capture and polished ingame performances. Working closely with animators, designers, and technical teams, you'll translate mocap data into expressive, believable character movement that supports gameplay and storytelling.
In this role you will :
  • Effectively apply the principles of animation to create a high-quality character.
  • Understand game design intentions and create in conjunction with the art team the required animation lists for characters.
  • Integrate your animation in Unreal engine.
  • Have the ownership of the characters and ensure the overall quality of the product.
  • Help define, structure, and evolve animation workflows and pipelines, ensuring best practices are shared and consistently applied across the team.
  • Act as a mentor and righthand support to the lead, fostering collaboration, guiding team members, and helping align the team around shared goals and processes.
What we are looking for :
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in animation within the gaming industry.
  •  Strong experience with game engines and DCC tools such as Unreal, Unity, Inhouse engine, Autodesk Maya, or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of animation tools, with a basic knowledge of rigging concepts and video game production pipelines.
  • Strong observation skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage tasks and projects effectively.
  • Contribute to mentoring the team by sharing documentation, best practices, and a solutionoriented mindset.
  • Collaborative, teamoriented mindset with a strong client/playerfocused approach.
Dans ce role, vous devrez :
  • Appliquer efficacement les principes de l'animation afin de creer des personnages de grande qualite;
  • Comprendre les intentions de design et, en collaboration avec l'equipe artistique, etablir les listes d'animations necessaires pour les personnages;
  • Integrer vos animations dans le moteur Unreal;
  • Prendre en charge les personnages et garantir la qualite globale du produit;
  • Contribuer a la definition, a la structuration et a l'evolution des workflows et pipelines d'animation, en veillant au partage et a l'application coherente des meilleures pratiques au sein de l'equipe;
  • Agir comme mentor et bras droit du ou de la lead, en favorisant la collaboration, en guidant les membres de l'equipe et en aidant a aligner les processus et objectifs communs.
Ce que nous recherchons :

En tant que 3D Animateurrice sur Dead by Daylight, vous vous specialiserez en animation de personnages et contribuerez a donner vie a nos Survivants et Tueurs emblematiques grace a des animations issues de la capture de mouvements de haute qualite et a des performances soignees en jeu. En collaboration etroite avec les animateurrices, les designers et les equipes techniques, vous transformerez des donnees de mocap en mouvements expressifs et credibles, au service du gameplay et de la narration.
