Strategy Analyst - Hybrid Opportunity

This is a hybrid position based at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday.

Reports To: Senior Director, Data Analytics & Strategy

Surgery Partners is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Strategy Analyst to join our Strategy and Data & Analytics team. This role is central to informing executivelevel and boardlevel decisionmaking by delivering clear, datadriven insights on business performance, market dynamics, trends, and strategic implications for the company.
The analyst will work closely with our CSuite, executive leadership, and crossfunctional teams, operating at the intersection of corporate strategy and analytics innovation. You will divide your time between supporting enterprise strategic priorities and partnering with our Data & Analytics team to develop early-stage analytical tools, dashboards, and insights that enhance strategic monitoring and decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Conduct rigorous analyses to evaluate business performance, market trends, competitive positioning, and industry shifts.
  • Distill complex data into clear, compelling, executiveready insights for leadership and the board.
  • Support enterprise strategic priorities by identifying emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and their implications for the company.
  • Partner across the organization to understand key business questions and develop datadriven answers that inform strategic direction.
  • Support Strategy team in completion of annual facility-level strategic planning process.

Data & Analytics Collaboration

  • Work with the Data & Analytics team to design and prototype dashboards, tools, and analytical approaches to enhance strategic insight generation.
  • Translate strategic questions into structured analytical requirements for data teams.
  • Develop and test early versions of analytics products, providing feedback to guide further development.
  • Contribute to building KPIs, market intelligence tools, and performance monitoring assets used by senior leadership.

CrossFunctional Partnership & Communication

  • Collaborate with Strategy, Data & Analytics, Operations, Finance, and other teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Present insights in clear, narrative-rich formats tailored to executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as a connector between strategy and analytics teams to ensure alignment and impact.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Healthcare Management, Economics, Finance, Data/Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, healthcare strategy, or a similar analytical/strategic role.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis, financial modeling, and strategic assessments.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools including Excel, Power BI, Sigma, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to independently create and drive a strategic narrative that identifies trends, articulates the ‘so what,’ and recommends actions to take.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare—health systems, provider services, ambulatory surgery centers, or payor strategy.
  • Experience building dashboards or prototype analytics tools.
  • Familiarity working with executive-level stakeholders.
