The People Analytics Manager is responsible for developing the analytical rigor that shapes the People Strategy at Ancestry. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, business strategy, people dynamics and organizational design identifying the patterns and trends that transform how our business makes decisions. The People Analytics Manager partners with HR, Finance, Legal, and Business Leadership to analyze organizational health and provide data-driven recommendations that align with company strategy, market benchmarks, and business needs.


What you will do...

  • People Data Analysis: Utilizing data from internal and external resources and applying statistical methods to find patterns in data related to recruitment, attrition, engagement, organizational structure, pay practices and more. Recognize trends in comparison to benchmarks and/or expectations. Ensure data accuracy and completeness

  • Connect Data with Business Need and People Strategy:  Partnering with People Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and Business leadership, identify data trends and incorporate business context to make insightful connections between experience and data.

  • Strategic Advisor: Offer practical and in

  • formed recommendations to improve policy, workforce planning, talent development, retention, etc. to achieve business goals. Lead ad hoc people analysis from data metric definition, assessment, recommendation, and evaluation.

  • Reporting and Visualization: Collect and synthesize data into user-friendly and always-ready dashboards to support day to day data-driven decision-making as well as track key metrics for business operation, including vacancy rates, attrition, headcount, organizational structure, and engagement.

Who you are...

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 7-10+ years of experience in people analytics, preferably in a corporate environment; including employee engagement, pay parity, attrition trends analysis

  • Experience in business analysis, data analysis, and/or statistical analysis

  • Experience building in and strong proficiency with business intelligence tools and HRIS systems

  • Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities

  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities

  • High level of discretion when handling confidential employee data

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $95,760 - $119,700 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience. We will share detailed compensation data for a specific location during the recruiting process.
