WHAT YOU WILL DO
Hyundai is seeking an Assistant Manager, Pricing Analytics to play a critical role in shaping pricing strategy for the Hyundai Sonata and Kona. This role blends data-driven analysis, strategic decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure competitive pricing, profitability, and strong market performance.
You will manage current model year pricing, support new model launches, and influence executive-level decisions that directly impact sales effectiveness and dealer profitability across the U.S. market.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Pricing Strategy & Market Analysis
  • Develop price positioning and launch pricing proposals for new model years based on market conditions, competitive landscape, and cost structures.
  • Serve as a pricing subject matter expert, analyzing competitive practices within the mainstream automotive market.
  • Lead pricing strategy discussions that balance forecasted volume, incentive spend, margin requirements, and revenue goals.

Forecasting & Financial Performance
  • Create vehicle pricing forecasts to support annual budgets.
  • Track per-vehicle gross profitability against actual performance and ensure alignment with calendar-year targets.
  • Manage residual value forecasting and pricing-related consulting engagements to strengthen third-party perception and residual performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Hyundai Global Headquarters, North American Product Planning, Finance, and U.S. Sales teams.
  • Translate packaging plans, financial objectives, and sales strategies into actionable pricing recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Sales Distribution to meet vehicle wholesale targets.

Execution & Operational Support
  • Obtain executive approval for pricing proposals and manage implementation.
  • Input and maintain pricing data in SAP and BLS systems.
  • Send weekly pricing action summary reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee departmental budget activities including purchase requests, accruals, and payments.
  • Support ad-hoc pricing and strategy initiatives as business needs arise.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Six or more years of experience, preferably in pricing and finance, with a focus on quantitative and competitive analyses.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Master's degree a plus.
  • Automotive OEM experience preferred.
  • Experience in pricing consumer products preferred.
  • Strong understanding of in-market pricing analysis, including competitive benchmarking, market responsiveness, and performance tracking.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including complex formulas, pivot tables, scenario modeling, and large data set manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and independently shaping recommendations where structure may not yet exist.
  • Proven ability to communicate clear, data-driven recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Experience working effectively across multiple teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise systems is a plus, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
