Rotational Accountant Program:

College new hires will be placed in a two-year rotational accounting program. This program will expose you to multiple facets of the oil and natural gas industry and enables you to build a valuable network of contacts throughout Oxy. Upon completion of the program, you will be placed in a role within one of the accounting departments.

Ideal Candidates Will....

  • Have a passion for accounting, being current on and understanding the latest accounting trends

  • Be excited to familiarize themselves with the basics of oil and gas industry accounting

  • Be introduced to multiple accounting departments during the rotational program during the two year program.

  • Perform monthly close duties throughout the rotational program that would include, but are not limited to, analyzing data, preparing journal entries, performing accounting reconciliations and other special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale, 3.0 in Accounting Courses
  • Must have a graduation date of December 2025 - May 2026

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (min 18 hours of accounting credit)

  • Must demonstrate initiative and interact effectively with others in a team environment

  • Must communicate effectively with internal & external clients

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines

  • Excellent fundamental accounting skills

  • Fluctuations in workloads will require some overtime

  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet experience
