Client Engagement Analyst

Two-Year Development Program with opportunity for 3rd year | Commonfund OCIO

About the Role

Commonfund OCIO is seeking a Client Engagement Analyst to join our Client Engagement team in a structured two-year with the potential for a third-year development opportunity. This role is designed for early-career professionals who are interested in institutional asset management and want to build deep expertise across business development, client relationship management, and RFP strategy. This opportunity will lead to a path that is focused either more on business development or relationship management as the candidate develops in the role over the two-year program.

This role can be based in either our New York City or Norwalk, CT office.

What You'll Do

  • Research endowment, foundation, and nonprofit prospects; support pitchbook and new business presentation production
  • Maintain Salesforce CRM pipeline records; coordinate conference and event logistics
  • Produce pre-meeting briefing documents and coordinate follow-up for senior client and prospect meetings
  • Project-manage RFP and DDQ submissions: assign workstreams, set deadlines, coordinate with portfolio managers and SMEs
  • Maintain and improve the RFP content library; integrate AI-assisted drafting tools into production workflows
  • In Year 2, mentor the incoming analyst cohort and take ownership of recurring deliverables within assigned track

What We're Looking For

  • Recent college grads who want to learn institutional asset management
  • Strong written and verbal communication and research skills; comfort producing client-ready materials
  • Project management orientation — able to juggle multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Financial literacy and familiarity with the endowment/foundation client segment a plus
  • Curiosity about AI tools and workflow automation; willingness to build new capabilities on the job

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $80,000 plus bonus
