Who We Are
Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) is a collective of bold, passionate, and curious humans who believe in the power of the arts and the power of young people. We're dreamers and doers. Visionaries and teammates. We laugh, we collaborate, we grow together-because at the heart of our work is a commitment to community and connection.
ย
Our Culture is Our Canvas:
  • Our Goals: We collaborate with purpose and hold ourselves accountable. We reflect, learn, and celebrate big and small wins.
  • Our Peers: We listen deeply, communicate clearly, and support each other with compassion. Feedback is a gift-and we give and receive it with care.
  • Our Space: We show up honestly, trust each other boldly, and respect each other's needs. We strive to create spaces that feel safe, empowering, and joyful.
  • Our Community: We are inclusive by design and equity-driven by nature. We amplify the voices of youth and honor the diversity of the communities we serve.

Core Afterschool Roles & Hourly Pay Ranges:
Hourly rates within each range are commensurate with experience.
  • Teaching Artist ($30.00 - $50.00 / hour): Experienced classroom creatives who design and lead culturally responsive, art-focused workshops that integrate arts and academic learning to spark youth creativity and self-expression.
  • Activity Specialist ($22.00 - $30.00 / hour): Creative lead instructors who design and facilitate hands-on, specialized clubs (such as STEM, chess, culinary arts, fashion, or athletics) that fuse arts with academic learning.
  • Group Leader ($18.00 - $21.00 / hour): Reliable and energetic mentors who model positive behavior, ensure participant safety, and support daily program operations by helping to facilitate academically aligned arts, sports, or STEM instruction.

Whether you're a classroom magician, a sports superhero, or a fine arts specialist-there's a place for you here in our afterschool community.
