Amida Technology Solutions is seeking a Pricing Analyst to work on an hourly basis during peak periods. The successful candidate will develop, and communicate strategic pricing scenarios for consideration, directly impacting the company's win rate. This role will report to the Director of Finance with a dotted line to the Pricing Manager. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights. This position is designed to assist during surge pricing needs and therefore has variable hours.
What you will do:
  • Support the development of pricing scenarios for proposal submissions under the guidance of the Pricing Manager and Director of Finance, compiling cost data and populating pricing templates for review
  • Assist with the distribution of pricing data calls to Amida's teaming and subcontractor partners, and track partner responses to meet proposal submission deadlines
  • Support Price to Win (PTW) model development for prime and subcontract bids by gathering market rate and competitor pricing information for the Pricing Manager's analysis
  • Respond to pricing data calls
  • Work with the accounting team to analyze project profitability and make strategic improvements through detailed feedback to Project Managers
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, math, or another relevant field

Required Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in government contracting
  • At least 2 years of experience in federal (preferred) or state government proposal pricing
  • At least 2 years of experience with accounting software, Unanet preferred

Required Skills:
  • Very strong Excel skills, including proficiency in VLOOKUPs and SUMIFs
  • Exceptional quantitative and mathematical skills for financial modeling
  • Knowledge of cost recovery for pricing
  • Ability to track delivery deadlines and to accurately complete required documentation in that timeframe
  • Strong ability to read and understand solicitation documents, including understanding of the technical response at a conversational level
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, both autonomously and with a team
  • Desire to forge strong relationships across the organization with a wide variety of people

Preferred:
  • Deep understanding of indirect cost pools
  • The ability to summarize a financial model quickly for management and make recommendations for improvement
  • Experience working with stakeholders to define the problem, explore options, and implement solutions
  • Exceptional communication, writing, coordination, and facilitation skills
  • Comfort to working independently, managing competing priorities, and proactively communicating with client stakeholders as needed
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment, and ability to work well under pressure, take ownership over assignments, and organize and manage in all directions (up, down, and across peers)
