AMI Expeditionary Healthcare (AMI) is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to support Primary Care services at the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. This rewarding opportunity allows you to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our nation's Veterans.

As a member of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), you will work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care, promote wellness, and improve health outcomes for Veterans.


Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in a Primary Care clinic environment
• Perform patient assessments and collect health histories
• Accurately document patient encounters within electronic health records
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and patient education
• Coordinate care plans and communicate treatment recommendations to patients and caregivers
• Triage patient concerns and determine appropriate follow-up actions
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to providers
• Support chronic disease management and preventive healthcare initiatives
• Coordinate referrals, consultations, and follow-up appointments
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings and care coordination activities
• Provide clinical support and consultation to healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate documentation in CPRS and other VA systems
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards
• Follow all VA policies, procedures, privacy requirements, and clinical guidelines

Qualifications
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience within the past three (3) years
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to successfully complete the AMI credentialing process
• Experience in Primary Care, Ambulatory Care, or Veterans Health Administration settings
• Strong patient education and care coordination abilities
• Experience working with electronic health record systems
