As we continue to grow, we currently have an opening for a Diesel Truck and Trailer technician off-site at the ABF Truck Shop. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, mechanically inclined, able to work independently, and has a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete diagnosis, repair, and general PM maintenance, and troubleshooting on heavy duty diesel. Come join our growing Family of Companies!

SCHEDULE: 2nd shift, Monday- Friday, 3pm- 12am (plus a 10% pay differential)

A Typical Day Might Include:
• Performs basic routine servicing and repairing of diesel trucks and trailers
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
• Inspect the overall condition of Trucks and trailers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
• Working with customers needs for scheduling repairs.
• Entering information to customer website for work approval
Requirements
