The Great American Risk Solutions (GARS) Analytics Team developsreporting and analytics that enable betterdecision-makingacross a complex and evolvingcommercialinsurance portfolio.We are seeking an Analytics Lead to serve as afirstlineanalytics leader and business partner, coordinating analytics delivery, guidingdaytodayexecution, and helping scale team capabilities asdemand continues to grow.

This role emphasizes ownership of analytics execution, prioritization, and quality across core reporting domains, along withhandsonanalytical credibility and proactive adoption of modern tools and methodologies. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, abusinessfocusedmindset, and the ability to effectively lead and develop analysts.

To support this, employees in this role are expected to be onsite four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core inoffice days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the daily operations of the data team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.

  • Overseesanalytical work across reporting and analytics initiatives, ensuring data is accurately integrated, evaluated, and interpreted to support strategic businessobjectives.

  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and validation checks.

  • Leadsthedevelopment and delivery of reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insights to stakeholders.

  • Partners closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs, translate requirements into actionable work, and deliverhighimpactsolutions.

  • Collaborates with ITdatamartteams and enterprise analytics toalign onstandards, tooling, and responsibilities and ensure effective divisional analytics execution

  • Responsible foridentifyingand implementing process improvements to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency.

  • Ensures documentation is developed andmaintainedfor analytics processes, workflows, reportingstandards, and data definitions

  • Leads, mentors, and provides ongoing coaching and feedback to analysts, supporting skill development, consistent quality, and professional growth.

  • Contributeshandsonanalytical work as needed, particularly for complex,timesensitive, orhighimpactdeliverables.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experiencerequired; master's degree or professional license/certificationa plus.

  • Field of Study: Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related quantitative or technology discipline preferred.

  • Experience:6years of experience in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles.Experience in insurance, financial services, or professionalservicesa plus.

Scope of Job/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinatingthedaytodaywork of other analysts, including prioritization, review, and coaching responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical judgment and technical credibility, with sufficientproficiencyinanalytics and reporting toolsto review work, guide approaches, and set quality standards(e.g.,SQLbasedanalytics, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Ability tooperatewith limited oversight, exercising sound judgment in prioritization, execution decisions, and escalation.

  • Effective communicator who can translate business needs into analytical direction and provide clear feedback to both analysts and stakeholders.

  • Maintains awareness of best practices and emerging trendsin analytics, ensuring the teamremainsaligned with standards and expectations.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments a plus
