Security Guard

Pay for this position is $21.64/hour. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Guard functions in an unarmed security post for OSF HealthCare campuses. Security Guards are responsible for the safety and security within OSF HealthCare campuses by conducting unarmed patrol, monitoring alarm systems, assisting in investigations, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma/ GED
  • Experience: Service with a police department or active military, military reserves or National Guard, and/or 1 year security experience or customer service.
  • Licensure/ Certification:
    • Current State Drivers Licenses.
    • BLS (American Heart Association) certification within 90 days of hire.
    • International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) within 1 year of hire
    • National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 1 year of hire.
  • Other skills/ knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Associate's Degree
  • Experience: Service with a police department or active military, military reserves or National Guard, and/or 3 years security experience.
  • Licensure/ Certification: International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) Basic Certification.
