Job Posting Title

Forklift Operator

Support production operations through the use of powered industrial vehicles. Dauch associates enjoy an attractive benefit package including health care, profit sharing, retirement plans, paid vacation, paid holidays, life insurance, disability protection and much more. Entry level pay rate for a Fork Truck or Tugger driver is $23.00/hour plus shift premium.

Job Description:

Operate a forklift or tugger (PIV) used for transporting material.

Stack and unstack dunnage and four posts. Move material around the plant.

Load & unload materials to the production locations, market or inbound deliveries. Track inventory of incoming/outgoing items.

Label and sort incoming/outbound shipments.

Load outbound trucks.

Perform safety checks on PIV before use.

Operate in tight spaces with pedestrian traffic.

Required Skills and Education
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in driving a forktruck/tugger is required
  • Safety focused - high volume of material is moved every hour with pedestrian traffic and close proximity to machines
  • Will need to pass our certification test to be on a PIV, or will be moved to a production operator position
  • Able to work any shift, including weekend and overtime availability as needed. Successfully complete a criminal and education background review, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
  • Be able to work weekends voluntarily or when required
  • Be highly motivated and have an interest in manufacturing
  • Be a team player, who is flexible and easily adapts to change
