As a Service Operator-Production Technician I NC - 1st -(Part-Time) with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will follow established procedures and perform a number of basic tasks in the etching or laser welding of transducers.
Additional Duties:
  • Cooperates as a team member of the department to help best serve the needs of the customer.
  • Responsible for knowing and using proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
  • Complies with all aspects of the ISO 9001, AS 9100 standards.
  • Refers to travelers, engineering travelers, special instructions and miscellaneous forms for procedures and instructions to perform necessary tasks.
  • Understands and promotes our quality statement of "Total Customer Satisfaction."
  • Responsible for operating department equipment.
  • Responsible for entering new model numbers or any changes in existing model numbers programs.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work to ensure compliance to company specifications.
  • Performs leak tests and connnector weld strength verification test on laser welds when required. Refers to documentation (drawings, router, BoM's and specifications) to perform simple assembly on various product lines. Writes legibly, signs and dates traveler when steps are completed.
  • Works with other technicians, engineers and departments. Communicates with supervisors, lead persons and other production departments concerning any problems with product, assembly, documentation, and/or schedule.
  • Ensures that all material and equipment calibration stickers are not expired before using, and notifies supervisor or lead person if expired or close to expiration.
  • Must inspect all workmanship and special processes of an operation that was performed ensuring quality before handling into next operation.
  • Learns and uses microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, epoxy/cures, inspection processes, and good soldering techniques. During assembling may perform such tasks as soldering, spot welcing, and washing.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience: 1 - 3 years or equivalent
  • Travel Requirement: As needed
