With 80 years of business in the Great Lakes Bay Region, our family owned and operated dealerships are about more than making the sale. Operating two dealerships providing Cadillac, Buick, GMC, and Toyota to the community, we are about building relationships and providing the best customer service possible. Job Summary: The Automotive Detailer will clean vehicles according to company standards or client specifications, which may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors, and keeping records related to gas levels and the condition of the vehicle. You should possess strong customer service skills and be familiar with the tools and agents used to clean and maintain vehicles.

Pay: $14.00-$16.00 an hour; Based on experience

Schedule:  Full-time 40 hours; Service hours Monday and Thursday 7:30am-8pm Tuesday Wednesday and Friday 7:30am-5:30pm, Saturday 8am-3pm; Rotating schedule 1 late night a week and every other Saturday. Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure dealership needs are met. Overtime and flexibility to work outside dealership hours when needed.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles.
  • Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
  • Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
  • Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
  • Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
  • Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
  • Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
  • Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer.
  • Paints engine components and related parts, using spray gun or aerosol can and masking material.
  • Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle, using container of touchup paint.
  • Applies dyes and reconditioning chemical to vinyl tops of vehicle to restore color and condition.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • At least one year of past administration (required).
  • One year of automotive/detailer experience (preferred).
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Eligible to be insured by Labadie’s insurance company to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Pass a drug screen.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
