Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking an Mgr - Rights Management & Analysis to join our Legal and Business Affairs & Rights Management team based in our New York, NY office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and analyze key provisions across a variety of agreements, including programming, production, sales, talent, and other third-party contracts. You'll manage the entry process for all AMCN businesses, ensuring top-notch data quality.
  • Ensuring contractual terms are accurately captured, consistently maintained, and updated in accordance with established standards and workflows.
  • Support management and cross-functional stakeholders by delivering ad hoc analyses, customized reports for International, Legal, Finance, Scheduling, and Content Sales teams to enable informed business and operational decisions.
  • Work closely with various teams across the organization to address issues and promptly report resolutions to all relevant parties.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas to enhance system functionality, streamline processes, and improve data quality; recommend, document, and track system enhancement requests in collaboration with internal partners.

QUALITIFCATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in media rights or a related industry
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Superior knowledge of multiplatform media rights and experience in reviewing and interpreting complex agreements
  • Experience with media rights databases such as FilmTrack, RightsLogic, and/or RightsLine
  • Highly developed analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - required, Power BI preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively discuss reports, data, and issues with individuals at all levels of the company
  • Knowledge and experience with IFTA definitions is a plus

The base compensation range for this position is $95,000- $105,000, commensurate with experience.
