Job Title: Junior Maintenance Technician
Salary: $25 per hour
Days Off: Sunday and Monday
Essential Job Duties:
  • Participate in daily team meetings to uphold the AMC Team Vision and Employee Promise and outline priorities for the day.
  • Walk the property daily to clean leasing office, tour path, model apartments, laundry rooms, recreation rooms, fitness centers, elevators, stairwells, pools, BBQ areas, as well as all other amenities and ensure general curb appeal of community is pleasing to all five senses and is impeccably clean.
  • Perform cleaning and removal of trash and other debris, including but not limited to: pet deposits, cigarette butts, emptying trash cans in common areas, pet stations, debris from around dumpster area as well as vacant units.
  • Wash common area windows and screens, curbs, entrances, sidewalks, pool decks and furniture and other surfaces as needed.
  • Clean light fixtures and replace light bulbs in common areas.
  • Regularly upkeep the entire community including vacuuming hallway areas.
  • Maintain housekeeping room and/or cart with equipment and supplies and reports supply order to Community Director.
  • Maintain and organize maintenance shop in coordination with AMC standards.
  • Inspect the property regularly and report all safety hazards, damages and areas needing repair. Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensure smoke detectors, circuit breakers, outlets and lights in common areas are working properly and is also aware of all utility shut-off locations.
  • Request and obtains SDS sheets on all chemicals used on site.
  • Assist the maintenance department with minor repairs and/or lifting appliances.
  • Assist in performing turn maintenance on vacant apartments in 7 days.
  • Assist in performing repairs and preventative maintenance to the interior and exterior of the apartment community and its amenities, including but not limited to: touch up paint, repair or replace window screens and glass as needed.
  • Work with vendors and R³ Construction Services, Inc. as necessary and directed.
  • Monitor building by locking doors after operation hours.
  • Adhere to all AMC policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Show up to work on time, follow direction from Community and Maintenance Supervisor and interact well with coworkers and residents.
  • Available and willing to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback, as well as set and work towards personal and team goals.
  • Maintain company uniform, a professional image and attitude at all times; observing the policies and procedures of AMC when conducting business with prospective VIPs, residents, vendors and R3 Construction Services, Inc.
  • Serve our VIPs with a welcoming and caring attitude.
  • Behave in a responsible, professional and ethical manner with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate personal and professional integrity at all times.
  • Must be a team player, motivated, goal oriented and organized.
  • Must know how to use and request common housecleaning supplies and equipment to keep areas clean and well serviced at all times.
  • Must care for equipment, know how to measure cleaning solutions and be alert to hazards as well as read hazard cautions on cleaning solutions.
  • Must maintain reliable transportation daily, valid driver's license and valid vehicle insurance.
  • Physical ability to bend, stretch, reach, grasp, stand, sit, squat, kneel, walk and climb stairs and ladders for long periods of time before taking a break, and able to move arms for long periods of time and lift 25-50 pounds depending on the property.
