Job description

Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) "Project Midas" is a specialized consulting organization we are launching in the US that is dedicated to solving the most pressing challenges facing senior leadership of our largest vendors. We start from the customer's problem and work backwards to apply distinctive solutions and results that "only Amazon" can deliver, and we develop science-driven capabilities that create differentiating insights. We serve our clients through the development of customer and retail strategies that enable their long-term growth via a combination of management consulting methodologies, data science, and decades of eCommerce expertise.
As a Senior Consultant, you will work with senior leaders of our largest vendors to tackle their most critical Customer, Product, and Channel eCommerce issues. You will use your customer understanding and industry insight to plan and execute engagements that transform vendor strategy and change the trajectory of their business growth. Working closely with Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Analysts, you'll implement custom solutions with market-changing potential. You will also work with vendors, team members, and internal and external partners to influence the way we work, how we serve customers, and where we invest in future capabilities.
We're seeking experienced client service professionals with proven success in management consulting, corporate strategy, or marketing who combine analytical rigor with exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated leadership experience, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a track record of working effectively with executive teams. Key job responsibilities
• Insight Commercialization - Translate complex data and machine learning outputs into clear, actionable business recommendations that vendors can execute against
• Engagement Scoping & Problem Framing - Lead discovery conversations with senior vendor stakeholders to define problem statements, scope project deliverables, and align on success metrics before engagement kickoff
• Cross-functional Orchestration - Coordinate across internal Amazon teams to assemble the right resources and capabilities for each vendor engagement, ensuring holistic solution delivery
• Strategic Leadership - Lead complex integrated workstreams, plan and deliver executive and board-level presentations, and drive overall engagement success
• Client Partnership - Own client relationships and project outcomes, serving as the primary point of contact while ensuring exceptional delivery standards
• Innovation & Development - Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Scientists to enhance tools and frameworks based on engagement insights, continuously improving our vendor experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
- Experience delivering complex, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- 4+ years of strategy, consultancy, financial analysis, category management, account management, product management, project management, buying or marketing experience
- Experience in customer segmentation, customer behavior analysis, conjoint/trade-off modeling

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
