Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) is hiring a Solutions Engineer.
***This role can be based in any United States Amazon location that is within driving distance of an airport to support frequent travel***

This role is a proactive technical development role, focusing on maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance of equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs.
Key job responsibilities
Evaluate existing MHE software configurations and identify performance gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies
Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve throughput, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
Design software-based solutions that maximize the utilization of conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, AGVs, and other MHE assets
Create technical specifications and architecture documents for proposed solutions
Lead end-to-end implementation of software optimization projects from scoping through go-live
Manage system integrations between MHE controls, enterprise software (ERP/WMS), and middleware
Oversee testing, commissioning, and validation of software changes in live environments
Partner with operations, engineering, and IT teams to understand business requirements and pain points
Present solution proposals, ROI analyses, and business cases to leadership
Serve as the technical liaison between vendors, integrators, and internal teams
Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfers for customer staff
Provide 24/7 Tier 2/3 technical support for controls-related MHE issues
Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and capital planning for MHE investments
Handle flexible workload which may come from management or operations.
