Job description

Ring is looking for a proactive Tax Manager who will be a key member of the Ring tax function.
As Ring continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a candidate with global tax experience who is comfortable directly liaising with Ring business teams with an aim of gaining a deep understanding of the business vision and model in order to develop and support comprehensive tax solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of indirect and direct tax issues and how those can impact the business solution being articulated. The candidate will also work closely with other members of the global tax department to communicate current and future business plans, obtain cross functional tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination of cross functional tax solutions.
The Tax Manager will be fully immersed within the Ring business team and support current and future Ring offerings, guidelines, and day to day questions.
We seek someone who is curious about how technology can transform the tax function - someone excited about leveraging AI and automation to increase efficiency, scale operations, and reimagine how tax work gets done.
Key job responsibilities
• Team with and provide tax guidance to Ring business teams - including Business Development, Finance, Legal, Accounting, and product groups - to support current and future Ring offerings, product launches, and international expansions
• Actively participate in projects throughout their life-cycle - from planning and research to modeling, implementation, and communication of tax implications to business and senior leadership
• Collaborate with broader Amazon Tax teams - including reporting and compliance, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax provision - to ensure coordinated, cross-functional tax solutions
• Research international tax issues, write technical and non-technical memoranda, and develop and maintain knowledge of global and OECD tax developments relevant to the Ring business
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities; support operationalization of tax strategies as the business evolves
• Support AI transformation and process innovation - leverage automation tools (e.g., automated documentation, paved road assessments, tax requirement generators) to increase efficiency and scale tax operations
A day in the life
Every day will be different. You might start the morning advising on a new Ring product launch in EMEA, spend the afternoon modeling the tax implications of an expansion into a new market, and end the day collaborating with AI tools to automate a compliance workflow that previously took weeks.
You'll work as part of a collaborative team that shares knowledge freely, embraces innovation, and delivers results together. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that span the broader Amazon Tax group, and you'll be at the forefront of how technology is reshaping the tax function.
About the team
Since its founding in 2013, Ring has been on a mission to make neighborhoods safer. From the first-ever video doorbell to the award-winning DIY Ring Alarm system, Ring's smart home security product line offers users affordable whole-home and neighborhood security.
At Ring, we are committed to making home and neighborhood security accessible and effective for everyone - while working hard to bring communities together. Ring is an Amazon company. For more information, visit www.ring.com.
