Job description

Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy to develop and execute the company's state-level public policy efforts across its transportation operations.
You will lead a comprehensive government affairs strategy to advance Amazon's policy goals across key transportation sectors, including trucking, aviation, and drone public policy. Along with the state public policy team, you will engage with state government stakeholders, regulatory agencies, trade associations, and policy organizations to help drive outcomes aligned with Amazon's business priorities.
You will work collaboratively with our public policy and business teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals. This position will assess and communicate potential government activities back to the business, develop mitigation or enhancement strategies and positions, and help coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
- Educate government stakeholders on a wide range of transportation policy areas.
- Work closely with the business leaders and Policy peers to coordinate on advocacy and to represent Amazon before policymakers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of public policy experience
- An ability and desire to travel is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in regulatory frameworks and policy analysis methodologies
- Experience in working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies
- Experience working on issues related to transportation public policy

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
