As a VP on the Strategic Finance team, the successful candidate will work across Atomic's portfolio to ensure company success and fund performance. For earlier-stage companies, the VP will serve as the finance team; as companies grow and hire their own teams, the VP will help recruit talent, transition workflows, and continue to provide strategic support.Working with Atomic's funds, the VP will monitor portfolio company performance including financial and operating metrics, drawing attention to areas requiring focus and working with partners and portfolio companies to take action. The VP will also partner with the 0:1 team in creating new companies, from identifying focus areas and business models to defining success metrics and supporting investment decisions.Key responsibilities include building financial models covering unit economics, margins, cash flows, and non-financial KPIs; owning the finance function for early-stage portfolio companies; putting budgets in place with regular monitoring; and supervising junior Strategic Finance team members.
