Job description

Amazon Gaming is hiring for a dynamic, data-driven Head of Media to lead all media strategy, planning, and investment across our portfolio of games and gaming services. This role owns the full media ecosystem for Amazon Gaming (inclusive of Amazon Games Studios, Prime Gaming, and Luna) from long-term media planning and buying to real-time performance optimization across all paid channels.
You will be the single-threaded leader for media at Amazon Gaming, responsible for setting the media vision, managing the total media budget, building agency relationships, and ensuring every dollar of media investment delivers maximum reach, efficiency, and return. The ideal candidate is a strategic media leader with deep expertise across the full media landscape (both fixed and variable), proven negotiation skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into best-in-class media strategies that drive player acquisition, brand awareness, and cultural relevance across the entertainment ecosystem.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end media strategy and total media budget for Amazon Gaming, setting the vision for how media investment drives business
- Lead, mentor, and develop the media team, attracting top media talent and building a high-performing team culture rooted in strategic excellence and data-driven decision-making.growth across titles, platforms, and markets.
- Develop the annual and quarterly media investment framework that guides budget allocation across fixed and variable channels, titles, audiences, and campaign phases - balancing brand-building reach with performance-driven efficiency.
- Lead comprehensive media landscape analyses for each key market, identifying emerging channels, shifting consumption behaviors, and competitive media strategies, working closely with agency partners and internal insights teams.
- Lead the development of programmatic and audience-buying capabilities, leveraging Amazon's unique data assets and ad tech ecosystem to drive precision targeting at scale.
- Drive real-time optimization of variable media spend based on performance data, adjusting tactics, creative, targeting, bidding strategies, and budget allocation to maximize ROI and ROAS.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for all external media agencies, setting expectations, defining ways of working, and holding agencies accountable for strategic thinking, innovation, and campaign performance.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Content, and Analytics teams to establish media KPIs, measurement frameworks, and attribution models that tie media investment to business outcomes.
- Make strategic trade-off decisions on media mix, determining the optimal balance of investment across channels, markets, and campaign phases based on data, business priorities, and media economics.
- Manage relationships with media platform partners (Google, Meta, TikTok, The Trade Desk, Amazon Ads, etc.), securing early access to betas, preferential support, and co-investment opportunities.
- Establish the media measurement and attribution framework for Amazon Gaming, defining how media investment is measured, attributed, and optimized across channels, titles, and markets.
