The Role
Kyndryl is looking for a Portfolio Manager - Modernization Engagement Lead to own delivery of complex, multi-tower modernization programs, bringing together modernization solution components across applications, cloud, mainframe, and network & edge into a single, cohesive client outcome. This role is built for leaders who can drive end-to-end execution, coordinate dependencies across multiple workstreams, and ensure modernization outcomes are delivered with disciplined program management and strong technical solution leadership.
What You Will Do
  • Own delivery of multi-tower modernization programs and ensure outcomes are delivered to scope, schedule, quality, and risk expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-tower teams, delivery plans, dependencies, risks, and mitigation actions across the modernization landscape.
  • Stitch together a single optimized modernization solution spanning multiple domains (e.g., application modernization, cloud migration/modernization, mainframe modernization, N&E modernization).
  • Drive modernization execution across sub-domains such as AMS, SDLC transformation, AppMod, Mainframe Mod, Platform Engineering, Data Center Networks, and Edge Networks.
  • Lead technical solution management activities including scoping, PoC framing, assumptions, dependencies, baselining, and delivery readiness.
  • Own and/or contribute to SoW creation and review, ensuring clear deliverables, acceptance criteria, and execution model.
  • Build and deliver client-facing presentations with strong content, narrative framing, storytelling, and value proposition articulation.
  • Apply Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework (KAF), Agent Builder, and relevant Technology Lifecycle Plays (TLPs) to enhance modernization execution and outcomes.

Who You Are
  • 5 years + proven experience leading complex, multi-tower modernization programs with ownership for delivery outcomes.
  • Broad modernization expertise across domains: Applications, Cloud, Mainframe, and Network & Edge who is able to unify multiple solution components into a single client solution.
  • Ability to consolidate and integrate technical solutions across towers into a cohesive modernization program.
  • Strong hands-on capability in technical solution leadership, including:
    • Scoping and PoC framing
    • Assumptions, dependencies, baselining
    • SoW creation and review
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills:
    • Content creation
    • Story/narrative framing
    • Storytelling
    • Value proposition articulation
  • Experience applying KAF, Agent Builder, and Modernization TLPs to shape and/or run modernization execution.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • GT10 (large/strategic) deal and delivery experience, including complex stakeholder management and governance.
  • Experience running modernization in hybrid estates involving multiple platforms and cross-tower execution (e.g., mainframe + distributed + cloud + network/security).
  • Track record of driving risk management, dependency orchestration, and delivery predictability at scale.
