Job description

Job Summary:
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Lakehouse architecture to design and build scalable data pipelines on AWS. The role focuses on developing high-quality, analytics-ready data models and optimizing data platforms for performance.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue.
• Implement Iceberg tables and data transformations within a Lakehouse architecture.
• Develop curated and analytics-ready data models in Amazon Redshift.
• Normalize and integrate complex datasets, including mainframe data sources.
• Optimize Redshift performance and data modeling for analytical workloads.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue and Redshift
• Expertise in Lakehouse architecture and Apache Iceberg
• Advanced SQL and data modeling skills
• Experience handling complex and legacy datasets (mainframe integration)
• Strong performance tuning and optimization skills
• BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Preferred:
• Exposure to API/GraphQL-based data access layers.
• Familiarity with data contracts and schema versioning strategies.
• Experience in Healthcare domain (nice to have).
• Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns (Lakehouse, CDC, Streaming).
