Mainframe Production Support Analyst

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will support mission-critical payment processing applications, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high availability of enterprise mainframe systems. This role requires strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies and experience supporting high-volume financial transaction applications.

 

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Mainframe Production Support
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • COBOL
    • JCL
    • DB2
    • CICS
    • VSAM
    • IMS (preferred)
  • Experience with TSO/ISPF and SDSF
  • Experience with Endevor or Changeman
  • Knowledge of IBM Utilities
  • Production support, incident management, and problem resolution
  • Batch job monitoring and scheduling
  • Mainframe debugging and performance tuning
  • SQL and DB2 data validation
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing tools
  • Familiarity with Control-M, CA7, or equivalent scheduling tools
  • Experience supporting APIs integrated with mainframe applications is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
