Job description

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical to define and deliver the vision, strategy, and technical roadmap for Amazon Learning Companion (ALC), Amazon's AI-powered Learning Intelligence Platform. This unified, intelligence-based ecosystem consolidates fragmented learning data, systems, and definitions into a single, governed source of truth that enables personalized, data-driven learning experiences at scale.
In this highly visible role, you will own the end-to-end product strategy for a standardized impact-measurement framework, introduce self-service analytics, natural-language data access, and predictive insights that enable operators to make faster, higher-quality decisions at scale. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Applied Science, Measurement Science, Software Development, and global Learning teams to define the platform architecture, data models, technical mechanisms, and integration patterns that support real-time intelligence and long-term scalability.
You will influence Director and VP stakeholders using clear written narratives, measurable outcomes, and durable mechanisms

This role requires deep technical fluency, systems-level thinking, and the ability to operate in ambiguity while driving alignment across organizations within Central Learning Solutions (CLS).
Key job responsibilities
- Own the vision and product strategy for Amazon Learning Companion, unifying siloed systems, disparate data models, and inconsistent metrics into a cohesive, governed ecosystem
- Define, align, and operationalize a standardized impact-measurement framework including core definitions, taxonomies, metrics, and validation mechanisms across global learning teams
- Build a durable roadmap that sequences foundational data infrastructure, analytical UX, machine learning capabilities, and product scalability to support NA Operations, EU Operations, and corporate functions
- Partner with Data Engineering and Science teams to define the technical architecture: semantic layers, data pipelines, real-time event ingestion, APIs, and metadata governance
- Create mechanisms for self-service insights, including natural-language querying, guided workflows, and automated/predictive intelligence that enable immediate actionability
- Define data models, technical mechanisms, and integration patterns that support real-time intelligence and long-term scalability across multiple regions and business units
- Influence senior/executive level stakeholders across organizations without authority through clear narratives, POCs, and data insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Learning Intelligence Platform becomes the data engine that powers CLS personalization products and enables proactive learning interventions
- Use customer-obsessed and data-driven insights to identify unmet needs, evaluate opportunities, and measure platform success using quantifiable outcomes
About the team
You'll be joining a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you'll be at the center of Amazon innovation. The Central Learning Solutions (CLS) team continues to push boundaries in creating revolutionary experiences for our Learners and Learning Admins. CLS is Amazon's center of excellence for employee learning and development, with strategic focus on a) Standardizing learning metrics and measuring impact using data-driven frameworks, b) Consolidating learning technology and enabling AI-powered personalization, c) Delivering high-quality learning experiences across NA Operations, EU Operations, and corporate functions and d) Optimizing learning operations and enabling self-service capabilities
