Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Regulatory Compliance Engineer with experience fielding industrial machinery, with emphasis on industrial robot systems. This position is responsible for new product support related to regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized team player with excellent communication and technical skills, possessing a strong understanding of regulatory compliance schemes and processes required to specify, test, qualify, document, and maintain certifications in Machine Safety (ideally with experience in industrial robot systems), Product Safety, Food Safety, EMC, wireless compliance for domestic and international markets as well as exposure to Functional Safety.


Key job responsibilities
- Determine applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements for new industrial machinery with emphasis on industrial robot systems
- Ensure Amazon products are safe, compliant, operationally effective, and cost-effective
- Serve as compliance subject matter expert, educating product teams (product/program managers, architects, and engineers) on regulatory requirements to guide compliant design development
- Collaborate with third-party test agencies to test and validate Amazon products, supporting testing from hardware and software perspectives
- Lead certification of Amazon's products, working cross-functionally with Compliance, Engineering, and Operations teams across Amazon
- Partner with Amazon suppliers to communicate regulatory requirements and verify compliance of third-party products
