Job description

At Amazon, we obsess over our customers and maintaining their trust. To earn that trust in an environment as vast and varied as Amazon's requires the applied skills of smart security engineers and experienced, innovative security leaders willing to tackle challenges at dizzying scales.
We are seeking Security Engineers who want to help secure Amazon. If you're passionate about Information Security, have exceptional technical depth in one or more security domains, and want to join a large-scale, fast-paced organization with global impact on millions of customers, then we'd like to talk to you. We are passionate in our desire to secure Amazon's environments and protect our customers' trust and unflinching in our resolve to hold the security bar high.
Key job responsibilities
As a Security Engineer on the STRIKE team, you will:
• Conduct time-bound (2-4 month) targeted security engagements with business units across Amazon Stores to drive risk remediation
• Identify cross-cutting security gaps in differentiated environments and drive remediation to resolution
• Partner with core security teams to improve existing security mechanisms and propose new ones when needed
• Generate actionable security insights from engagements that inform investment in self-service security capabilities
• Enable business units to independently identify and resolve security challenges, reducing long-term dependency on security teams
• Act as a Trusted Advisor across the organization, clearly articulating risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
A day in the life
The STRIKE team (Security Targeted Research, Insights & Key Engagements) is part of the Differentiated Security Team (DST) within Stores Security. We identify areas of differentiated and acute security risk across Amazon Stores and perform targeted engagements with business units to remediate that risk. Through these engagements, we accelerate store builders, improve their security maturity, and generate insights about the efficacy of self-service security that feed back into improving existing or investing in new security mechanisms.
Our mission: Remediate differentiated security gaps across Amazon Stores through targeted BU engagements while partnering with core security partner teams to improve existing mechanisms.
Our vision: Every differentiated BU security gap is reviewed and remediated.
