Job description

The Director of Amazon Strategy & Growth is responsible for leading the company's Amazon business as a strategic growth engine and direct-report priority within Business Development. This role provides focused accountability, senior visibility, and cross-functional coordination required to manage one of the companyโ€™s largest, fastest-growing, and most strategically important commercial channels with greater discipline.

The role owns Amazon strategy, growth, profitability, digital shelf standards, catalog health, vendor and marketplace execution, promotions, reporting structure, and cross-functional escalation. While the primary focus is Amazon U.S., this leader also serves as a global thought leader for the Amazon business, helping shape international Amazon priorities and interfaces closely with the Director of International Growth & Strategic Partnerships as the company expands across additional Amazon markets.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the overall Amazon business, including revenue growth, profitability, strategic planning, and day-to-day performance management, with primary responsibility for Amazon U.S.
  • Establish and lead a stronger Amazon operating cadence, including business reviews, performance dashboards, issue escalation, and cross-functional decision-making mechanisms
  • Develop and execute a clear Amazon growth strategy across assortment, content, pricing, promotions, advertising, search, digital shelf standards, catalog health, and operational performance
  • Improve profitability visibility and performance discipline through stronger analytics, budget management, performance reporting, and optimization routines
  • Lead and develop established team, with opportunity to help shape and expand over time as the business scales
  • Serve as a global thought leader for the Amazon business by sharing insights, best practices, and strategic recommendations that support international Amazon expansion
  • Interface closely with the Director of International Growth & Strategic Partnerships to align on international marketplace opportunities, global Amazon priorities, partner considerations, and expansion sequencing
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Product Development, and Operations to ensure strong execution, catalog health, inventory alignment, and customer experience
  • Analyze customer behavior, category trends, competitive activity, platform changes, and internal performance data to identify new growth opportunities and risks
  • Identify and address marketplace issues, policy changes, and operational challenges with speed, sound judgment, strong cross-functional coordination, and AI-enabled problem solving where appropriate
  • Represent the Amazon business in leadership discussions and provide clear recommendations grounded in data and commercial judgment
  • Ability to travel is an essential function of this position
  • 2 onsite days per week is an essential function of this position

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Amazon, e-commerce, marketplace, or digital commerce leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer products, nutritional supplements, health and wellness, or related industry preferred
  • Proven track record of growing Amazon or marketplace revenue with strong command of performance drivers, operating levers, digital shelf standards, catalog health, and retail media execution
  • Experience leading people directly and building team capability over time
  • Passionate about and fluent in utilizing AI to improve decision-making, productivity, analysis, and commercial execution
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and commercial judgment with the ability to translate data into action
  • Experience working cross-functionally to execute in a complex, fast-paced business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, prioritize effectively, create operating discipline, and drive measurable results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Interested in being part of a culture that values both making an impact and having fun
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
