Are you obsessed with data, partner success, taking action, and changing the game? If you have a whole lot of hustle and a touch of nerd, come work with Pattern! We want you to use your skills to push one of the fastest-growing companies headquartered in the US to the top of the list.

Pattern has been named one of the fastest growing tech companies headquartered in North America by Deloitte and one of best-led companies by Inc. We place employee experience at the center of our business model and have been recognized as one of Newsweek’s Global Most Loved Workplaces®.

We need an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the financial onboarding of new brands, serve as the primary external brand-facing contact, and ensure full, comprehensive ownership of complex non-standard contracts. This role operates at the intersection of finance and strategic partnership, allowing you to drive critical business integrity while working with a high-growth tech company. This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, UT.

What is a day in the life of a Accounts Receivable Manager?
  • Conduct a comprehensive, end-to-end review of complex contracts to ensure billing, terms, and accounting and legal nuances are fully understood and followed

  • Lead the financial onboarding of new brands, which includes setting up banking for payments and establishing the correct finance contacts

  • Serve as the primary, brand-facing point of contact when dealing with external customers

  • Oversee the accounts receivable cycle, including managing payment follow-up if funds are not received

What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • Be proactive and exhibit action for bias, taking initiative to figure out what needs to be done rather than waiting for specific direction

  • Maintaining strong brand relationships while simultaneously protecting Pattern's financial interests in collections

  • Possess strong communication skills for dealing with external customers and managing the financial relationship

  • Apply a deep, comprehensive understanding of complex contracts and the nuances between brand-to-brand agreements

  • Demonstrate expertise in Excel and the accounts receivable cycle

  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or related field, allowing for a comprehensive view of the customer and vendor financial relationship with entities

What does high performance look like?
  • Drives financial integrity by fully mastering the intricacies of diverse brand contracts, proactively identifying and resolving nuances to secure Pattern's financial position and mitigate attrition risks

  • Operates as an independent leader, consistently taking initiative to implement process improvements and solve problems before being directed, reflecting a strong action-oriented mindset

  • Elevates the Accounts Receivable function into a strategic partnership role, successfully optimizing cash receipts while preserving and strengthening critical relationships with external customers

What’s the company culture? We are looking for individuals who are:
  • Game Changers - A game changer is someone who looks at problems with an open mind and shares new ideas with team members, regularly reassesses existing plans and attaches a realistic timeline to goals, makes profitable, productive, and innovative contributions, and actively pursues improvements to Pattern’s processes and outcomes.
  • Data Fanatics - A data fanatic is someone who recognizes problems and seeks to understand them through data, draws unbiased conclusions based on data that lead to actionable solutions, and continues to track the effects of the solutions using data.
  • Partner Obsessed - An individual who is partner obsessed clearly explains the status of projects to partners and relies on constructive feedback, actively listens to partner’s expectations, and delivers results that exceed them, prioritizes the needs of your partners, and takes the time to create a personable experience for those interacting with Pattern.
  • Team of Doers - Someone who is a part of a team of doers uplifts team members and recognizes their specific contributions, takes initiative to help in any circumstance, actively contributes to supporting improvements, and holds themselves accountable to the team as well as to partners.
What is my potential for career growth?
  • As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be joining a high-growth accounting team with potential for advancement. Exceptional performance in this role can lead to promotion opportunities such as Senior Accounts Receivable Manager or Director of Accounts Receivable. Career progression is performance-dependent, driven by your ability to master complex contracts, lead with an action-oriented mindset, and successfully manage partner relationships.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?
  • First 30 days: You will immediately focus on stabilizing the accounts receivable function to address the backfill urgency and ensure operational continuity by establishing key working relationships with team members. Your primary goal will be to master the existing AR cycle and payment follow-up processes while starting a deep-dive review into a sample of the complex, non-standard contracts.

  • Next 60 days: You will take full, independent ownership of the end-to-end contract review process, ensuring you comprehend all underlying billing, legal, and operational patterns, while also actively managing the financial onboarding of new brands and coaching the Accounts Receivable Specialist. You will demonstrate a proactive, "action-oriented" mindset by identifying and proposing a solution for at least one critical process gap related to complex contract review.

  • Following 90 days: You will fully implement approved process improvements designed to mitigate brand attrition and secure owed funds, leveraging a highly thorough and effective legal contact perspective. At this stage, you must be operating as the subject matter expert on all complex brand-to-brand contracts, leading the AR function while demonstrating the crucial "Partner-Obsessed" balance of maximizing cash collection and strengthening external customer relationships.

What is the team like?
  • You will work with the other accounting team members and brand counterparts and be supervised by the Brand Accounting Manager. You will also be mentored by the VP of Accounting and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.

What is the hiring process?
  • Initial phone interview with Pattern’s talent acquisition team
  • Video interview with the hiring manager
  • Video interview with a cross-functional leader
  • Topgrading interview with a cross-functional leader
  • Final onsite interview with Pattern’s VP of Accounting
  • Professional reference checks
  • Executive review
  • Offer
How can I stand out as an applicant?
