Position Title: Accounts Receivable Manager
Location: Fully Remote
Assignment Type: Temporary, 3-6 months with potential to extend or convert to permanent
Compensation: $50-$62/hour
Work Schedule: M-F 9-5

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee day-to-day accounts receivable operations and lead a team of accounting professionals. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, cash application, collections, reconciliations, and reporting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong NetSuite experience, a proven background managing accounts receivable functions, and experience working with large retail customers and vendor portals such as Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart, Target, or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and provide leadership to the Accounts Receivable team and oversee daily AR operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee customer billing inquiries and serve as a key point of contact for AR-related issues.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Participate in customer onboarding to understand billing requirements and establish appropriate processes.
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage collections activities, including customer outreach, payment terms, credit limits, and overdue balances.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and internal controls for AR processes.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Develop and monitor AR reporting, forecasting, and key performance indicators.
  • Assist with bad debt processes, year-end activities, and external audit requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, establish best practices, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Lead regular team meetings and provide guidance on priorities, challenges, and process improvements.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit, or related accounting management experience.
  • Strong NetSuite experience is required.
  • Experience working with Amazon Vendor Central or other major retailer/vendor portals such as Walmart or Target is required.
  • Previous experience managing or leading an Accounts Receivable team.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • Experience in a high-volume, transactional environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with invoicing, cash application, collections, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage high transaction volumes effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with multiple currencies, international customers, and varying billing or tax requirements is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
